So you just purchased one of our candles and now you're ready to burn it! You've done this before so this shouldn't be any different right? Well, that may be true, but safety is always important, so I want to share some tips to ensure that you have a safe and clean burn!
Before you light your candle, please read the warning label attached at the bottom. The warning label reads: To prevent fire, burn candle within sight. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire. Do not burn for more than 4 hours.
Here are 10 additional tips to ensure that you have a safe burn!
- Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.
- Keep burning candles out of the reach of children and pets.
- Keep burning candles away from drafts, vents, ceiling fans and air currents.
- Always burn candles in a well-ventilated room
- Do not burn a candle all the way down (stop burning at ½” inch)
- Never touch or move a burning candle.
- Use a snuffer to extinguish a candle.
- Never extinguish candles with water - oil, and water DON’T mix!
- Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes or the flame becomes too high.
- Never use a candle as a night light
